Shandong Kingride's Seventh Driving Technology Competition Was Held Yesterday.

The Shandong Kingride Labour Union and Safety Committee's "Seventh Driving Technology Competition" final took place in the section workshop on December 20. The group and individual unit competition involved 89 front-line personnel and nine teams from several areas including the production technical quality logistics and warehousing divisions. Mr. Yanguang Jia the general manager and Mr. Chaobo Tian the chairman of the labour union attended the competition and gave the winners their prizes.

A travelling crane sometimes referred to as an overhead crane or a crane is a piece of equipment used for lifting and moving big objects that can be done securely and effectively in warehouses logistics transit yards and corporate workshops. Kingride a manufacturer of stainless steel welded pipes with a 40000-ton yearly production capacity uses a travelling crane to lift and carry a lot of equipment parts completed goods and raw and auxiliary materials.

The productivity and operational effectiveness of the business are not the only factors affected by truck safety and standardisation; employee personal safety is also a factor. In order to raise the operational proficiency of front-line staff and raise awareness of safe and compliant operation the company's labour union and safety committee specifically request for funding to host the yearly driving technology competition. The company has held seven driving technology competitions in a row thus far.

The competition was split into two sections: a theoretical analysis and a practical operation. The former assessed the contestants' knowledge of driving gear their awareness of safety and their operational abilities. 36 competitors advanced to the final round following the theoretical exam and preliminary rounds. Following over two hours of intense competition three teams and 19 competitors respectively took first two or three of the group and individual competition units.

The company's general manager Mr. Yanguang Jia then spoke on behalf of the management. He first congratulated the winners and then expressed the hope that most front-line employees would actively improve vehicle safety awareness of standardised operation and practical operating skills and the safe efficient and orderly realisation of all types of heavy material lifting and transferring work so that the company could complete the annual safety production tasks and lay a strong foundation for the safety of both coworkers and themselves.

In addition to paying attention to the development of a safety culture Kingride consistently monitors frontline safety production. Through a variety of activities the company will raise staff knowledge of production safety in order to guarantee the enterprise's stable and safe operation.
